Feline Blood Infection Assay
(FIV/FELV)
Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia Virus (FELV) are widespread and serious retroviral infections in cats. These viruses can cause immunosuppression, increase the risk of cancer, and lead to chronic illnesses, significantly impacting a cat’s health and lifespan.
Despite ongoing vaccination and screening programs, a global analysis of over 3 million test results from 68 countries revealed FeLV positivity rates ranging from 4% to 14%, and FIV positivity rates from 5% to 14%.1
